The Central Coast is a Playground!

Once you have found all of the unique, Vintage treasures from Three Speckled Hens Antique Show, we recommend you try one of the local popular activities or visit one of the famous areas that attract visitors year after year!

First and foremost, the Beaches!

The Central Coast is known for its stunning coastline. Visit beaches like Pismo, Avila and Morro Bay for sunbathing, surfing, kayaking or paddle boarding.

Then, go Wine Tasting!

The Central Coast is home to several renowned wine regions, including Paso Robles, Santa Ynez and Santa Maria Valleys. Explore over 200 award winning wineries and vineyards that offer tastings and tours.

Craft breweries have made a name for themselves over the past few years and are popping up everywhere! Music and brews mixed with local cuisine is the only way to go after shopping all day!

Discover the natural beauty of the area by hiking in places like Montana de Oro State Park, Big Sur or the trails around the San Luis Obispo area. Madonna Mountain or Bishops Peak offer Panoramic views and are the perfect half day climb.

A Castle Tours at the extravagant Hearst Castle

in San Simeon is a must! A historic mansion filled with art, opulence and history. The scenic coastal Highway 1 drive and views are breathtaking and worth the car sick feels!

The world-class Monterey Bay Aquarium showcases marine life from the Pacific Ocean, including sharks, sea otters, and colorful fish. Go whale watching in Monterey Bay, or visit the elephant seals in places like San Simeon.

Enjoy fresh seafood or farm-to-table cuisine at the many restaurants and gourmet eateries along the coast. There are too many restaurant options to list. I recommend asking a local where they frequent! Dining anywhere on the central coast is amazing!

Play a round of golf at one of the scenic courses along the coast, like Pebble Beach Golf Links. Or, Explore art galleries and studios in towns like Carmel-by-the-Sea and Cambria.

Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa is the historic mission in San Luis Obispo where you can learn about California’s Spanish colonial history and experience Mass any day of the week.

A place that I keep hearing about and hope to experience myself is Sensorio, an outdoor art installation and light experience located in the rolling hills of the Paso Robles Wine Region. “Bruce Munro a British artist uses over 58,000 fiber optic stems to create a magical illuminated atmosphere. Sounds wonderful! Maybe I'll get there this week!

And don't forget, Antique Shopping is prevalent in every charming coastal town, as well as the valley centers. Also, Cultural Events are plentiful. Check the local event calendars for festivals, concerts and activities happening in and around town.
