We invite you to take a Vintage Crawl through Parker and Palo Pinto Counties, exploring some of North Texas’ most charming shops, historic downtowns, hidden treasures and local favorites. From Weatherford to Cool and Mineral Wells, you’ll discover that vintage isn’t just a style here, it’s a way of life. 🛣️
First Stop: Historic Downtown Weatherford
Begin your journey in the heart of Weatherford, surrounding the beautiful historic courthouse square. This vibrant downtown district is filled with antique shops, boutiques, restaurants and Texas hospitality. ⛪️
Start at Louis Antiques on North Main Street, where you’ll find treasures around every corner. Be sure to visit the bright yellow farmhouse that locals adore for its old-world charm and stunning collection of crystal chandeliers. 🪞
As you work your way through downtown, stop by The Shoppes at Carter Ivy, a thoughtfully curated experience filled with vintage-inspired finds for heart and home. Primitive collectors won’t want to miss Haywire Collectibles, where rustic treasures and one-of-a-kind finds are always waiting to be discovered.
Boot lovers should make time for Tumbleweed Vintage Boots, where every pair has a story and Western style is more than fashion, it’s a lifestyle.
Continue over to The County Mercantile at 124 North Elm Street and take a stroll through the neighboring Parker County Heritage Society, where local history comes to life. ✨
By now you’ve likely worked up an appetite. Grab lunch at Zenos on the Square or head over to Teskey’s, one of Texas’ most iconic Western stores, where you can enjoy lunch in their café before browsing Antique Alley for vintage tack, leather goods, and ranch-inspired treasures. 🐎
A Sweet Stop Along Highway 180!
As you head west toward Mineral Wells, make a stop at Hutton Peach Farm. Pick up fresh peaches, seasonal produce, homemade peach ice cream, or a juicy Texas watermelon. It’s the perfect taste of summer in Parker County. 🍑

Next Stop: The Tiny Town of Cool
After leaving the ranch, continue nine miles west to the tiny town of Cool, Texas.
There you’ll discover Maria’s beloved Gypsy Garden Hideaway, marked by the iconic red tractor at the entrance. Wander through vintage garden décor, rustic treasures, repurposed finds, charming trailers and hidden gems tucked beneath the trees. 🌴 💡
Across the road, stop by the Cool Melon Stand operated by the Rothrock Family for a refreshing taste of Texas summer. 🍉 🍈
Mineral Wells: The Wellness Capital of Texas
Your vintage adventure continues in Mineral Wells, affectionately known as the Wellness Capital of Texas.
No visit is complete without stopping at the legendary Crazy Water property. Since 1881, visitors have traveled here to experience the naturally mineral-rich waters that made Mineral Wells famous around the world. 💦 🌍
From there, head to The Collective at Posten Plaza, a beautifully curated two-story shopping destination located inside a historic 100 year old brick building near the iconic Crazy Water sign.
Inside you’ll find a wonderful mix of antiques, boutiques, local honey, chalk paint, vintage décor, artisan goods, furniture and one of the area’s favorite treats, Swaggy Snow gourmet shaved ice.🍧
Be sure to explore Witschorke Antiques on Oak Street and spend some time wandering through the historic Crazy Water Hotel and Shops. During the summer months, rooftop concerts create the perfect backdrop for a memorable evening. 🎼
When hunger strikes, local favorites include Pastafina, Dolce, Oak & Third, and Natty Flat Smokehouse, all offering their own unique Texas flavor. 🍦 🍖 🍝
End the Evening Under the Arena Lights
After a full day of vintage shopping, antiques, Texas treasures, and small-town exploring, cap off your evening at the Parker County Sheriff’s Posse Rodeo, located just across the road from Black Ranch Event Center. 🇺🇸 🐂 🐎
The rodeo runs June 9 through June 13 and features nightly rodeo action, live music, and some of Texas’ best entertainment.
Don’t miss performances by Gage Gardiner, Rowdy Decker, Aaron Copeland, Red Shahan, and Josh Weathers.
There’s simply no better way to end a Texas summer day than under the arena lights, surrounded by good music, good people, and a little rodeo dust in the air.
